DESCRIPTION:Description: \nOn August 1\, 2025\, new rules came into effect that impact waste transportation systems. As a result\, we wanted to provide you with more information on these changes and resources to help support you. \n\nWhat has changed?  \nOntario Regulation 119/25 (O. Reg. 119/25) now requires additional waste management systems to register in the Environmental Activity and Sector Registry (EASR)\, rather than obtaining an Environmental Compliance Approval (ECA)\, and includes additional activity requirements that must be followed. \nAdditional waste management systems that collect\, handle\, transport\, or transferthe following wastes and additional waste activities are now required to register in the EASR\, including: \n·       non-hazardous waste \n·       asbestos waste \n·       hazardous waste (excluding pathological waste\, polychlorinated biphenyl [PCB] and radioactive waste) \n·       liquid industrial waste \n·       temporary in-vehicle storage of waste overnight for waste that is destined out of province where waste cannot be delivered on the same day as it is picked up \n·       temporary in-vehicle storage of waste and until the next business day for hauled sewage \n\nRefer to O. Reg. 119/25 for the full list of registration requirements that must be met to register. \nFor more information about the changes\, please review the fact sheet\, or visit the decision notice on the Environmental Registry of Ontario (ERO). \nAdditionally\, the guidance links can be found in the Additional resources section below. \n\nWhen do I need to register? \nYou can continue to operate under your existing ECA at this time; however\, you must register in the EASR by August 1st\, 2028\, or prior to making any modifications that would require an amendment to your ECA\, whichever comes first. \nNote: If you have an existing waste management system ECA that is subject to registration\, and your ECA includes terms and conditions that impose different standards\, procedures or requirements than those set out in Regulation 347\, please contact us. \n\nNeed help registering in the EASR? \nTo assist you with registering your waste transportation system in the EASR\, we are offering one on one sessions throughout each month to provide live assistance with: \n1) creating your online ministry account \n2) linking an authorized representative account to a business or individual \n3) helping you navigate the online registry for waste transportation systems \nYou can register for a session to assist you with any or all the above items by visiting our booking page. \n\nPlease come prepared with the required materials for the session. A list of materials for creating your online ministry account can be found on How to set up and manage an account to access environmental permissions online services | ontario.ca. Registration requirements can be found in O. DESCRIPTION:The Satellite Women’s Conference (SWC) began in 2018 with almost 60 women representing 40 companies\, who took a leap of faith to participate in an industry first women’s only event. In just three years SWC grew by 35% with continued enthusiasm and inspiring support. In 2021\, Satellite was honored to host over 80 women from over 50 companies\, representing a mix of 60% first time and 40% returning attendees. To fuel this momentum SWC has moved around the country to make it more accessible\, going from Minneapolis\, MN in 2018 to Scottsdale\, AZ in 2019\, with a digital event in 2020\, followed by an engaging in-person event in 2021 in Nashville\, TN. But we didn’t stop there\, in 2022 we celebrated year 5 in Sunny San Diego followed by our 6th annual event in 2023 in Austin\, TX. Now this year we’re excited to host our 7th annual Satellite Women’s Conference in Leesburg\, VA\, and hope to serve over 100 amazing women from an even broader audience. \nSWC has evolved into a connected community of strong businesswomen not only within the portable sanitation industry but also beyond our borders\, ranging from small and medium sized business to larger\, corporate organizations.
