Provincial Policy Statement - Reserve Sewage System Capacity for Hauled Sewage
An Information Sheet entitled "PROVINCIAL POLICY STATEMENT, 2005: RESERVE SEWAGE SYSTEM CAPACITY FOR HAULED SEWAGE" has been posted on the Ministry of the Environment Site.
The Provincial Policy Statement (PPS), 2005 directs that new development with private communal or individual on-site sewage services can be created only if there is confirmation of sufficient reserve sewage system capacity to treat hauled sewage (septage) that is generated. The fact sheet provides information for Planning Act planning authorities, developers and haulers on determining reserve sewage system capacity.
